My Ipod either breaks an audio book into pieces so each chapter appears as a separate book or as one continuous book with no chapters Its been driving me crazy trying to sort it out can any one help!

What I do with mine is to select all the chapters and edit the Artist as the Author of the book, then change the title of each chapter as Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and so on. The first part is easy as you can select all the chapters together (left click on the firs chapter, hold down the shift key and left click on the last chapter then with all of them selcted right click on any of them and select Get Info, then change the Artist to the Author's name. Change the genre while you're at it to Books & Spoken Word.

When I download an MP3 audio book from my local library, it is in a single audio file -- 10-15 hours long. I'm looking for some software that can split this file into segments so that it is easier to handle on my portable MP3 player. Any ideas?
There's no software that can do it automatically to my knowledge.
If you're looking to do it through a manual process you can always use SoundForge or a free sound editing program to cut the sound into segments. In fact, I'm fairly sure you can do this with Windows Movie Maker but I've been wrong before so don't take my word for it.
I got it onto my ipod but the entire book is one track! I cant restart the book every time thats just ridiculous. Please help me!!!
why wouldnt i just pause it? its on my fucking ipod. what if i want to listen to a song?

I have all 7 Harry Potter Audio Books, but each audio book is in 1 file!
I know how to merge the audio books but I don't know the times of each chapter! If you know the times from any book can you please post an answer! Thanks!

I just got the Twilight Audio Book CD. I need to find out the chapters that each disk has since I need to put some quotes in a presentation. Does anyone know which chapters are on which CDs?

I kinda don't have time to listen to it all, since I have a lot tennis practices now which usually last for about 3 hours or more and a lot of other school work.
i only know up to disc 8 but here:
disc 1: chapters 1 & 2
disc 2: chapters 2, 3,4, & 5
disc 3: chapters 5,6 & 7
disc 4: chapters 7, 8, & 9
disc 5: chapters 9, 10, & 11
disc 6: chapters 11, 12, & 13
disc 7: chapters 13, 14, & 15

I've wanted to write a blog post for a few days, but between getting ill (just in time for the four day weekend of course) and using the little energy I had left for writing fiction, it hasn't happened. Or rather, the desire to write a post hasn't coalesced into one topic.
So I decided to break with the unspoken rule of "All blog posts should be straight to the point and about one thing only" and just come over here and burble for a bit. I have a lot on my mind. It's not a crime.
Today I published the final chapter and epilogue of Twenty Years Later . All in all, I think it took somewhere between 70-80 hours of work. That was spread out over several months, but still, wow. Unsurprisingly, I feel a bit of everything, but relief, sadness, joy and satisfaction come out on top.
