Guys, I used to have the Foundation series of books on Audio book, with one exception Foundation and Earth, the last book in the series, Im sure I saw it advertised in the US, but I have nt seen it available here in the UK. Have checked the online book stores with no success... does anybody actually know if this audio book is actually available, better still if anyone has a copy, i'd be happy to pay for a pirate. Cheers

I'm trying to find back copies of Analog SF&F Magazine Or Asimov's science fiction on four track cassette, 8 rpm disc or in any audiobook format. Any ideas where I might have luck in locating them?
Library of Congress doesn't have them. Most Libraries don't keep them either.
It's been recorded on 8 rpm disc and on 4 track cassette for the use of the blind and the physically handicapped. All of this is also true for Asimov's stuff. Any help in locating these would be greatly appreceated.
Check with the corp who recorded them for the blind and physically handicapped...they got them from somewhere.

In the end the house burns down and can’t save itself because it wasted all the resources on feeding a family that was already dead. Anyone know what the name of the story is? "Set in August 4, 2026 in the city of Allendale, California, There Will Come Soft Rains details the daily tasks of a robotic house after its inhabitants (Mr and Mrs McClellan and their son and daughter) have died in a nuclear war. The house is still undamaged, fully automated and sensitive to its owners and their requests and needs. It continues to serve the dead family, unaware of their absence, though aware of other external and internal disruptions such as the weather and birds attempting to land on it. Throughout the story, the house makes breakfast, disposes of it uneaten, and performs various domestic tasks. The house communicates via a set of recorded and synthesized voices, starting a morning wakeup call at 7:00 AM and at 7:15 it announces the date 3 times in the kitchen.
