It's written by Carlos Bulosan. It would be great if there were any websites with summaries or a place were i can download the audio book of it because it's a bit hard for me to read and would like to know about the book quicker :] thanks

If you can't find it online, check with the public library. My library has many many new & older books available in audio.

Yes, it's like on the show but without the video. But it's not about news, it's about his (characters) thoughts about anything. Which you probably know even if you've only read parts. So it's different from the show, but at the same time it's just what we're used to.
I love the book the audio book equally. I think they're amazing and very very funny! You should really get both.

I heard a preview on itunes and it was his voice in the sample. I'm not sure if he does it all though.

Please help, I'm looking for "covenant with black america", but I want it on audio. It's a gift for my best friend who wants to read the book, but doesn't have time. Thank you.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news.

It looks like Tavis Smiley (who is the editor of "Covenant with Black America" and author of several books of his own, as well as an excellent PBS host) does not put out any books in an audio format.

The only thing I can suggest is that you write to him via PBS at this link:

and ask him if he would consider putting some stuff out in audio format.

but I know that's not what you're looking for.

Last of all, have you considered recording the book yourself for your friend? You can pick up a basic cassette recorder and microphone at most office supply stores, and having an audio book narrated by a friend might make it an extra special gift.

Sorry I couldn't find you an audio copy. It looks like an interesting book, and I listen to TONS of audio books, but like your friend, I don't have time to read much either.
