Just to make sure this was true, I went on Oprah's website and
there it is. The below article is very interesting, so I thought I

spiritual mindset-a New Age worldview that include the beliefs that
there is no sin, no evil, no devil. A Course in Miracles teaches its
students to rethink everything they believe about God and life, and,
bluntly states: "This is a course in mind training" and is dedicated to
"thought reversal."

The Course in Miracles -in reality-is the truth of the Bible
turned upside down.

Oprah told her television audience that Williamson's book, A
Course in Miracles was one of her favorite books, and that she had
already bought a thousand copies and would be handing them out to
everyone in her studio audience. Oprah's endorsement skyrocketed
Williamson's book to the top of the New York Times bestseller list .

A Course in Miracles is allegedly a "new revelation" from
"Jesus" to help humanity work through these troubled times. This
"Jesus"-who bears no doctrinal resemblance to the Bible's Jesus
Christ-began delivering channeled teachings in 1965 to a Columbia
University Professor of Medical Psychology, Helen Schucman.

One day Schucman heard an "inner voice" stating, "This is a
course in miracles. Please take notes." For seven years she diligently
took spiritual dictation from this voice that described himself as
"Jesus."

Yes Indeed there r more examples of bad Christians then there r good. I will grant U that.

The only reason people take this course because they can no longer live in fear of be held accountable by a higher power then themselves.

Is This the beginning of the end. In the Bible it tells us of false phrophets and false God in the end times. So is this the Beginning of the END????????????????? If so do you feel u r ready to meet THE FATHER,The CREATOR of ALL things?

I don't know about you, but I am tired of Oprah impersonating herself as some sort of Royalty. She is a talk show host, with a lot of money. Her personal aspirations or beliefs are of no concern to me - Oprah does not speak for me nor does anyone else. I have vowed not to support her programming from here on out - in any way whatsoever. She is placing herself on this high pedestal with a personal, private agenda, taken out of the pockets of people who do not even come close to the kind of money she makes. She is a user and a manipulator - plain and simple. And when she falls from that pedestal - it is a long way down.

CNN has been a dvertising Roseta stone or whatever. I dont' buy it. Cause STudying by yourself from software is just the same as learning by yuorself from a book. And then, you have questions to diffic ult cultural words.. you can't know it without real people from the contry of the language you are learning.

And then they advertisse as "LEARN FAST!" What's the point of learning fast, ,like being rushed. Also, i doubt it you can learn thousands of kanji or chinese characters in 1 week.

Sure you may be able to learn basic stuff fast, but that's the same as what you can do from a book or language audio dvds. So why they claim this is like a miracle?

The best way is for language learning is to experience the challenge of learning . writing chinese characters by hand and challenging yourself to memorize things.

It's just advertising hype. Some people learn languages easily whatever method they adopt, but no single approach will help everybody. Using books and software on your own has a big disadvantage - you are never required to participate in spontaneous, unpredictable communication, so you really cannot develop speaking skills as you could in a well managed classroom or living/working in the country where the language is spoken.

So teach yourself books and software have their uses, but people often have little understanding of their limitations.
