Has anyone ever heard of a children's audio book on cassette tape called "The Trumpa Tree"?

It's a narrated story about two children that get lost in an elaborate magical world inside a tree. I don't know if it was ever a printed story or if it's just on tape.

Enid Blyton wrote a number of stories about the 'Faraway Tree' sounds a similar kind of idea....

Has anyone heard of a Christian Children's book and audio set called "Papa's Rainbow"?

It was one of those book that you could read along with the audio tape. I can't really remember much about it other than it had songs and the majority of the characters were balls of light.

I had this when I was a kid, and I still have it, so here's the plot:

First, the narrator explains that the rainbow represents God (referred to as Papa)' promises, and it's inhabited by the Watercolors, who "look like ordinary raindrops" but I remember the picture book showed them as colored bits of light. Cut to Lori, a young girl (her age isn't mentioned, but I'm guessing six) saddened by the rain. Splash o'Red shows up to remind her of God's love, and takes her to visit the rainbow. They start in the yellow section, and meet Shinin' Yellow, who sings to Lori about being Born Again. During the song, Lori's teddy bear, Tebby, comes to life, and by the end, he runs off on his own.
Lori chases after Tebby into the Orange Hue, where she meets Sparkling Orange, who runs the Omnion, a kind of computer that locates Tebby. Before helping her find him, Sparkling Orange tells Lori that God gives her more than she needs so she can be generous. Splash shows up and takes Lori to the top of the rainbow, which is apparently the blue part. There, the blue character (whose name I can't remember) paints clouds and invites Lori to try. Lori doubts that she could do it, so the blue Watercolors sing to her about how she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her. Just as Lori's getting into it, the bad guys make their one appearance and send the Knight of Fear to block the sun, rendering the rainbow invisible.
While the other Watercolors fight off the bad guys, Glimmerin' Green keeps Lori from panicking, and once the danger is over, he leads her to a huge waterslide, which they ride on while a song about how God watches over everyone plays. At the bottom of the slide, Lori splashes into a pond and travels along it on a huge bubble with Splash. They come to a field where she finds Tebby at last, playing with other toy animals. Reunited at last, Lori, Tebby, and Splash continue on the pond and pass Pure Purple conducting an orchestra. Since their song tells Lori she was "born for royalty," she looks at her reflection and sees a crown on her head. Splash takes her to the Crystal Palace, where she meets all the Watercolors she met previously, and they all give her a gold coin. Each coin has the promise their songs represented written on them, but as she reads each promise, the coins disappear. Splash explains that each promise is actually going in her heart, where it will stay forever.
Suddenly Lori wakes up and tells her Aunt about how she went to the rainbow, and sings an appropriate ending song. (I always felt that the story should have ended with a reprise of the opening song, though.)

Several web sites offer online full-texts of books that are out of copyright, e.g. www.gutenberg.org.
However, aside from the copyright owner, which is almost always the author or their publisher, ANYONE who posts the text of these books online is violating both the U.S. and the International Copyright laws, infringing on Intellectual Property, and can be fined and jailed for it. (In general, anything first published within the last 52 years in the U.S. will still be in copyright. When the law was changed, it became copyright duration matched the rest of the work, i.e. the author’s/copyright owner’s lifetime plus 50 years.)
Writers make a living by creating their work. To read or use it without paying for it, is STEALING, pure and simple.
If the work is valuable enough to read, it should be paid for.

I have written a children's book - It's called 'The Cheese People'. How do I best publish it?

The book is about The Cheese People living in Wensleydale Vale (www.cheesepeople.co.uk) it is well illustrated and is written in rhyme. There are 40 different cheese people characters and they all have different cheese personalities. The book is written to appeal to children and parents and so far there are over 20 different story lines. The first book details all about 30 of The Cheese People and tells 4 stories, but there are lots more on the way!!
Charlie Cheshire, one of the main characters also writes a News Blog (www.cheesepeople.co.uk/blog) updated every Mon to Fri) about what is going on in Wensleydale Vale. It's a mini series and is in written and audio format.
I have written to 30 literary agents and publishers, am writing to 30 more and would really appreciate any ideas anyone may have for getting published.
Many thanks

is this a joke? Cheese people? Mind you it sounds like the kind of stuff that really takes off and makes an author a millionaire over night.

Or it might not.

Pick a cheese that's not a rip off of Wallace and Gromit, you could get into trouble for that. How about the Cheddar people? Cheddar is under-rated. the forgotten cheese...

Good luck anyway.

Survival – that’s his main goal. But is survival feasible when you are “no one” to your family and you are not considered a person but an ”it” ?  The answer could be found in the book  A Child Called ‘It’ written by Dave Pelzer. I doubt that anyone could read the book (or in my case listen to its audio version) without being moved by the story. It’s about a young boy who is being severely abused by his mother. The best thing about the book is that the story is told in the first person, which allows you to look at the world through the eyes of David, and feel his pain, hunger and desperation. The story is so well told that the reader can easily empathize with the young David and his experiences. This book made me appreciate my own family which, even if not perfect, gave me a chance to have a normal childhood.
